April — Vintage Lens, Timeless Friendships

April — Vintage Lens, Timeless Friendships
A burst of laughter with a vintage Polaroid in hand — timeless joy, frozen in monochrome.

It’s Labor Day, and by the time you read this, I’ll already be on the move, traveling and gathering more stories and shoots to share with you here. I’ve got plenty of new content lined up, but in the meantime, I wanted to take you back to something special.

I’ve known April for over a decade, and we’ve worked together many times. Alongside her older sister, she’s become a close friend, and every chance we get to shoot — whether I’m in her area or she’s back home on Guam — feels like picking up right where we left off.

This particular session came from my fascination with vintage looks. I’d collected some vintage clothing and pulled out a few of my old cameras, wanting to recreate that timeless feel. Plus, I wanted to show off some of those classic cameras that still inspire me today.

These aren’t the usual “sexy” images you might expect on Creatively Bare, but they represent something important to me: the roots of my style, the playfulness of collaboration, and the way photography lets us slip into another time.
