About this site

Creatively Bare is a personal space I launched in July 2025 — a home for the kind of photography I can’t always share elsewhere. The work here is slower, more honest, and rooted in trust.

It’s not just about the final image. I share how the work is made — the lighting setups, the gear, the creative choices, and the quiet between frames.

If you choose to subscribe, you’ll get access to:

  • Complete black & white photo sets (across $5, $10, and $20 tiers)
  • Behind-the-scenes stories and lighting breakdowns
  • Reflections on the why — not just the how

No ads. No feeds. No algorithm. Just the work.

This isn’t a hustle. It’s a long conversation through images, light, and moments that matter.

Who I am

I started photography back in the mid-to-late ’80s. I was a nerdy, shy kid — awkward in most situations, especially around people I admired. However, the camera provided me with an opportunity. It was easier to approach someone with a purpose, to say something without words.

A lot of my early work focused on women. Not because I had a plan, but because that was where I first found connection. The camera helped me see them, and maybe, for the first time, helped me feel seen in return.

Over time, that impulse evolved into something more profound: a love for light, form, and quiet storytelling, as well as the trust that occurs when someone lets their guard down, even for just a moment.
